>>Hey everyone... So I am Shay, i am in the USAF. I'm a Medical Lab Tech. I really am not sure what to write since this is my first stab at this. My mom has a blog so i thought i would get one 2!! It seem like the new thing to do... I grew up in the Seattle area, I'm an Army brat and i never thought that i would join the military but fast forward 21 years and here i am in the Air Force... Who would have thunk? I am in Dayton OH at WPAFB. I'm here for my phase 2 of training, then I'm off to WA again, but this time on the East side. I will be at Fairchild AFB in Spokane WA. >>I love to try new things and would say that I'm a girly girl but i love to do some things outdoors, like snowboarding!! I LOVE to shop and is a FAVORITE!! well I'm not sure what to say...
So i will leave it at this for now
Love Love -S-
P.S. Love You Mamma!!!!

This is a place to write about things going on. Kind of like myspace but not as busy. Plus you meet many new people that you actually never really meet.
Hope you had fun in Toledo! You missed McCain in Dayton today.
Hi Shay!! I am here via your moms blog. I am an Air Force mom too, my daughter Bre was discharged in February to do an injury. She is now in college planning to commission as an officer in 2 yrs.

Hi Shay. Love your name. I'm Ness from DachshundStrong so named because my 23 y/o is a 2nd Lt. in the Army(hence Army Strong slogan) and we have 2 adorable dachshunds(my girls have 2 so 4 in total, 3 of the 4 rescued) so I came up with the name DachshundStrong. I am a blog friend of your mom's, who has been a godsend in supporting me while my son's Army pay was FUBARed for a while. I also have a 30 yr old daughter named Kelli and a 21 yr old daughter named Kiereney.
Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging. My blog friends are my strength and support and I wouldn't make it through a day without them! Take care. You're in my prayers because I keep all of my soldiers in my prayers.

Hi Shay! Came here from your Mom's too :) Gosh she loves you and misses you so much, but you know that!
I'm retired AF and was going to be an AF Mom but son David has decided to stay on at the hospital in Security.
You've done so well in your career so far and we are so proud of you!
Well hello there newbie, welcome aboard. We are glad you have finally jumped on the band wagon. Having gotten to know your mom and being a mom myself of a son that not only left town, but left the whole state to go work, I know how she feels. You all grow up, but never out grow being our kid. She is pretty dag gum proud of you.
I am a retired police officer of nearly 22 years. I loved my job till the end, then it was time to go. We sold our newly built home, packed it all up and moved "home" to the Tulsa area. I think we might even have some people in common, my cousins go to school at Berryhill. If you know who I am talking about then we can agree it is a very small world. I have family in Washington who have lived there for years and love it.
My nephew is in Iraq right now, hopefully will be home in Oct/Nov depending. He is in the medical side of it and that is about all I can tell you about his assignment. Not a very informed aunt I guess, but he knows I love him.
Have fun blogging, it is a great outlet and a great way to stay in touch with lots of people including new found friends. Hope you enjoy it. It is very nice to meet you.
Welcome to the world of blogging!
My sister and her family were stationed at Wright-Patt AFB too. The PCS'd to Hancsom AFB in Massachusetts a few years ago. It is nice to have them close to home again!
I'll be back!
Kimmy
Welcome, Shay! Came to visit as a result of your mom's blog (she's one cool lady)! I am a proud 2-Blue Star Mom...one son at Hill and one son at Wright-Patt!
Thank you for your service!
Godspeed!!!
~AirmanMom returning to her blog...
A big howdy to a young newbie from an old newbie... I just started blogging about 2 months ago so I'm learning, too... but I'm trying to learn at 63 and pretty new to computers so you'll be doing the Elvis thing to me before long... you know ... Blue (blew) By-you...
Just write whatever catches your fancy... but mainly enjoy the interaction!!

I surfed over from your Mom's blog - my first visit to her blog as well. Welcome to the world of blogging. I've "met" so many nice people this way.
My advice - picture! So many blogs I visit have a lot of text and few photos. Write and photograph about what it means to be a woman in the AF. That would interest people.
Have fun blogging. And thanks for serving out country!!
